When to come: a month-by-month guide to Bandarban
Winter for clear views, monsoon for waterfalls, and the shoulder months almost nobody books.
November to February is the classic season. Cold mornings, clear air, and the cloud layer sitting below Nilachal at sunrise. This is also when rates are highest and weekends sell out — book two to three weeks ahead.
June to September is the monsoon, and it is underrated. The hills are the greenest they get, Nafakhum and Shoilo Propat are at full flow, and the mist rolls right onto the balconies. You will get wet. It is worth it.
March to May is warm and quiet. Fewer people, softer rates, and the sunsets are the strongest of the year. If you want the hills mostly to yourself, come in April.
October is the sweet spot — the rain has stopped, the green has not gone, and the winter crowd has not arrived.
